CPSM Examination Preparation Course will be held in 2011
The qualifications for this certification are the
following:
- 3 years full-time, professional supply management experience (nonclerical, nonsupport)
- Bachelors' degree from an regionally accredited institution or international equivalent
- Pass 3 CPSM® Exams OR if you are a C.P.M. in good standing, pass the Bridge Exam
If you meet the first two
qualifications you are eligible to sit for the three exams. If you
pass these examinations, you will be able to apply to ISM for this certification.
NAPM-Memphis
will conduct a CPSM Examination Preparation Course during 2010. This course will be conducted during six Thursday afternoons (1 - 5 pm) for a total of 24 hours per examination preparation.
The schedule of each examination course is as follows:
Exam 1 — Foundation of Supply Management - January & February 2011
Covers:
Contracting/negotiations; cost/finance; international; social
responsibility; sourcing; supplier relationship management. Includes
introduction of testing, review of examination tasks, sample questions, additional reading material, case studies and test taking tips.
Exam 2 — Effective Supply Management Performance - February & March 2011
Covers:
Forecasting; logistics; materials & inventory management;
organization/department assessment; planning; product development;
project management; quality. Includes
review of examination tasks, sample questions, additional reading material, case studies and test taking tips.
Exam 3 — Leadership in Supply management - April & May 2011
Covers: Leadership; risk and compliance; strategic sourcing. Includes
review of examination tasks, sample questions, additional reading material, case studies and test taking tips.
Material:
You will be provided a Participant Manual for note taking and referenced articles to expand your understanding of the subject matter. In addition, the CPSM Study Guide will be the primary material you will use during your CPSM Exam preparation.
As well as including all the tasks material, it
will provide information on test specifications, examples of the testing format and
question styles. With the use of additional reference materials provided during
the course to round out your knowledge, the CPSM Study Guide will be a major part
of your study program.
